Babies can hear in utero at 16 weeks. They can hear all the tunes you play and it becomes apart of the soundtrack of their lives inside of mom’s belly. Your baby experiences your body’s response to the music you listen to. That means if your favorite song is on and you are in bliss endorphins are high in your blood stream your baby is feelin’ your groove. A benefit of creating an intentional musical soundtrack for baby is it can help babies to transition to the extra uterine environment after they are born. Things to Know About the Postpartum Stage

The physical journey of pregnancy and childbirth is demanding. Your body has done its version of the Olympics and now it is time to rest and repair. Here are just a few things your body is repairing and what you can do to help it. 1. Perineum Soreness You may experience soreness in your perineum. Some ways to help manage the soreness is a towel wrapped ice pack on the perineum. Sitting on a pillow can also help relieve pressure and discomfort. Feed Your Baby’s Brain During Pregnancy

It is important to know that the simple act of engagement stimulates your baby’s brain. Your baby’s brain has to process the information and make connections, which literally builds the brain neurologically. This can begin in utero. You can play games with baby to interact with them. Talk, sing, and read, with baby verbally connecting with your baby is good at age. Babies are can hear at 16 weeks in utero. Interacting with baby increases neural brain connections and helps it to grow. Baby becomes familiar with your voice and the people around you. Play. Play tag! Poke your belly and wait for baby to poke back! Shine a flashlight on your belly and watch for baby’s response! Eat healthy foods.
